- The sector is poorly understood. To what
extent would work to better characterise the different clusters within the
sector for example, the languages, motivations, diversity, and economics
that make up each cluster, be useful?
- There are no agreed quality standards. Would a
clear articulation of what quality science communication and public
engagement practice encompass be a helpful step forward?
- Professionalisation is happening in a piecemeal way, who
should be taking ownership of the current appetite for, and emerging
practice around, better professional recognition for science
communicators?
Our formal role in this work is now complete but we have heard on the grapevine that there may be people within the Forum are taking some of this forward. We'll share more if/when we can.
